CartFolio ("CartFolio," "we," "us") helps golf cart and low-speed vehicle owners document their builds, track maintenance, and buy and sell. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information you provide: email address, name, username, and optional profile details such as your community or location and, for dealers, a business name, phone, and website.
- Content you create: cart details, photos, modification and maintenance records, VIN and verification data, descriptions, comments, and for-sale listings.
- Messages you send through our contact and dealer forms, and comments you post on public pages.
- Usage and device data collected automatically, such as pages viewed, approximate performance metrics, browser type, and similar analytics data.
How we use your information
- Provide, maintain, and improve CartFolio.
- Create your public cart pages and marketplace listings when you choose to publish them.
- Send transactional messages, such as comment notifications, cart transfer offers, and maintenance reminders you enable.
- Respond to your inquiries and route dealer leads.
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
What is public
CartFolio is partly a public registry and marketplace. Profiles, public cart pages, and listings you publish are visible to anyone and may be indexed by search engines. You control whether a cart is public or private, and whether a cart is listed for sale. Do not publish information you want to keep private.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- Publicly, for the profiles, pages, and listings you choose to publish.
- With service providers that operate CartFolio on our behalf, including hosting and analytics (Vercel), database, authentication, and storage (Supabase), transactional email (Resend), AI processing (Google) used for photo scans and value estimates, and advertising measurement (Meta) used to understand how our ads perform.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of CartFolio, our users, or the public.
Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and secure, and limited analytics to understand usage and performance. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide CartFolio. You can delete individual carts at any time, and you can delete your account and associated personal data from your settings or by contacting us. See Data deletion for step by step instructions.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. You can edit most information in your settings, and you can exercise these rights by contacting us through our contact page.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
CartFolio is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, take additional steps as required by law.
